Originally built in the 1940s as a three-story residential buidling with a printing shop on the first floor, the building received a seismic retrofit and the addition of a fourth floor in the 1980s. It was the California home of Tusker Corporation untill 2000.

Fresh Bay Cafe is located at 3659 Buchanan and serves breakfast and lunch six days a week. Alain Pinel Real Estate occupies the ground floor space on the North Point frontage. The second floor is occupied by AXA Financial Advisors. The third and fourth floors are leased by ATM Plus.
